Tumeric

Turmeric has a characteristic musky, earthy aroma and a pungent, slightly bitter flavor and an intense orange color. A member of the ginger family Turmeric is native to tropical South Asia.

Our Turmeric comes from Alleppey a region in the farthest reaches of southwestern India. We carry high quality Turmeric which possess a greater curcumin content and more flavor.

Use with beans, chicken, eggs, fish, meat, rice and spinach. Works well in combination with cilantro, coriander, cumin, fennel seed, ginger, mustard seeds, paprika and pepper.
