Cardamom Seed

A member of the ginger family, cardamom intensifies both sweet and savory flavors. These seeds come from the inside of the green cardamom pods. Cardamom's taste is lemony and light while it's aroma is rugged, but gentle, biting and fruity. It is a treasured all over the world for its lovely aroma and flavor and is known as the "queen of spices" (pepper is considered the king). Cardamom works well in combination with caraway, chili powder, cinnamon, coriander, cumin, ginger, paprika and pepper.
